Volley Park, a “Hidden Gem” Playground in Brighton!

One reason I love what I do is that I can share unknown parks that you wouldn’t find otherwise! Volley Park is one of those hidden gems. It is located in the Brighton Crossings neighborhood, however, if you look for it on a map or through a search engine, it practically doesn’t exist! I’m sharing it here because I took my kids, and some extra playground testers ;), and we had a great time. Did I mention it has a scavenger hunt?!

Brighton Crossings Volley Park

Address: 762 Bear Creek Ct, Brighton, CO 80601

Bathroom: There were portables nearby when we visited, however, I’m not sure if they were for the park or for the builders working nearby.

Shade: No shade above the play features so make sure to take along sunscreen. This is a new development so the trees do not help with shade yet. There are shaded tables, however, to take a break or have a snack.

Surface: Wood chips and a large sand area.

Age Recommendations: There is equipment for all ages! The young ones will love the play structure, along with its game panels and scavenger hunt. Your older kids will enjoy the obstacles, fitness zone and additional sports available.

Swings: There are 4 traditional swings but no baby swings or accessible chair swings.

Water Features: None.

Unique Features of Volley Park

Our favorite feature of Volley Park is the scavenger hunt! These are so much fun and, although we’re seeing them more and more, they never get old. My kids have so much fun trying to find each of the items and the happy face proved to be quite tricky!

Another feature that makes Volley Park unique is its huge sandpit! So often, if there is a sand area, it is very small with only room for one or two children. Here, there is space for everyone! Bring along your sand toys, dig with the diggers or just enjoy a day at the beach 😉

Fitness Zone

Volley Park delivers on options for the whole family – check out this fitness zone! So many options to help you get a workout while the kids play. I picture future American Ninja Warriors playing here!

Surrounding Area Highlights

Also part of the park are many different game and sport opportunities! You can play tennis, pickleball, cornhole, ladder ball, Kan-Jam, bocce ball and there’s a grass field for whatever else you’d like to do. I’m currently writing during a heavy wind day so all I’m seeing are a large number of kites!
