This shaded Arvada park is tucked into a neighborhood along the Ralston Creek Trail making it a true hidden gem. The Danny Kendrick Park West (there’s an East park too so make sure you click the address below for the location) was redone within the last few years and is wonderful with its “Pioneer West” theme. Saturday, November 20th marked the Grand Re-opening of Denver’s Bible Park and its new playground! To say every kid there was excited would be quite the understatement. The large net structure, tall towers and so many other fun activities had everyone running from one thing to the next. LuBird’s Light, Newest Inclusive Playground in Aurora!

Have you ever parked at a playground just to turn around because your child would be unable to play there? That’s a reality for many Colorado parents. Whether it be the wood chips or sand making wheelchair access next to impossible, a lack of ramps or a complicated set of equipment, a truly inclusive playground can be hard to find! “There are over 74,000 kids with disabilities in Colorado and most playgrounds do not give these children an opportunity to experience the fun and joy of being outdoors with their peers.” according to LuBird’s Light Foundation. That is why they took action and raised money to create LuBird’s Light Playground,…
