Musical Fun at the New & Improved Clement Park!

When we heard that there was a completely redone park in Littleton, of course we had to visit! Oh my goodness, it was amazing! It is a huge playground and was really crowded for a Wednesday morning, yet I felt calm. How can you not feel at peace at such a gorgeous location overlooking Johnson Reservoir with an incredible view of the Colorado mountains?!

Bathroom/Shade: This park was built for people to stay a while so it has a full bathroom building and multiple large pavilions. There is not much shade on the actual playground, however, the slides are light colored and my daughter never complained about the equipment being too hot.

Age Recommendations: All! Children ages 4 to 8 will especially enjoy this park with all of the climbing opportunities and unique features. Younger children will enjoy that there are fun slides, swings and so many ways to make music! (If your kiddos love the musical features, I would also recommend this Denver park for your next adventure!)

Unique Features: Definitely my daughter’s favorite park of the playground was this ninja warrior obstacle course pictured below! It was long, filled with balancing, climbing, ropes, seats and nets to adventure your way through. It was by far the most popular spot, we had to wait a long time for it to be empty for pictures!

Another favorite was the “We-Go-Round“. Quite a change from the merry go rounds we grew up with, this was designed for wheelchair accessibility and a place for all ages to participate and enjoy!

With the Clement Park Amphitheatre just down the hill, the music-themed playground was a perfect match. Xylophones (big and small), drums, bells and the tall organ pipes on the highest structure kept it consistent no matter where you were playing.

While my daughter played with family, I took a short walk over to the Columbine Memorial. While it isn’t something I would typically include in a park review, I wanted to at least mention that it is close to the playground. I was amazed at the stillness and beauty as I read the inscriptions. It was a heartbreaking memorial and if you do make the trip to the Clement Park, I hope you take a moment to visit and remember.

Nearby: This area is FULL of other great activities so plan to stay and explore beyond the playground. First to note, there is a large splash pad (it’s separate from the playground, just a short drive around to the other side of the baseball fields)! Also, you’ll find a skate park, tennis courts, sand volleyball, horseshoes and large grass fields.

Overall, we would highly recommend Clement Park! I’m sure it will stay busy for a while because of its new-ness, but even so, you and your kids will have a great time!
