Woodsy Oasis: Tranquility at Long’s Pine Grove Park in Denver!

If you are looking for a “woodsy” oasis in the middle of the city, Long’s Pine Grove Park in Denver is your next stop! Long’s Pine Grove Park Logistics

Address: 1523 S Uinta Way, Denver, CO 80231

Bathroom: Yes, there is a bathroom building and drinking fountain, closed during the off season.

Shade: You will find a large shaded pavilion near the parking spaces with four tables. There are also large trees around the park, but not much shade over the play equipment.

Surface: A park with many surfaces! There is a small amount of rubber surfacing, a large sand play area, turf-covered hillside and wood chips.



Age Recommendations: All your kiddos will find something they enjoy at Long’s Pine Grove Park in Denver! Ages 2 to 5 have an adorable sand play area complete with playhouse and tables and ages 5 to 12 will love the climbing and monkey bars.

Inclusive Features: Not very many inclusive features at Long’s Pine Grove Park unfortunately. There are concrete and dirt paths around the play areas and a small amount of rubber surfacing.

Unique Features of Long’s Pine Grove Park

Visiting Long’s Pine Grove Park in Denver feels like you’ve been transported to the Colorado foothills! There are large pine trees and all of the equipment has a natural, woodsy feel. The kids will love climbing boulders, checking out the playhouse cabin, and traversing rope bridges.

Very unique to this playground is the wide concrete slide and hollow tree nearby. An easy transition for little ones to move from the sand play area to the lower play structure area.

Long’s Pine Grove Park in Denver is managed by the Arapahoe County Open Space in the Four Square Mile neighborhood. There is a walking path loop that includes nature play and the overall size of the park is 3.7 acres.
