Peaceful Pond and Fantastic Playground at Sterne Park in Littleton!

Sterne Park in Littleton, Colorado is a hidden gem, just east of the intersection of Bowles and Santa Fe! I love all of the trees, green space and pond to separate from the busyness of the area. The playground itself is wonderful with adorable pieces that set it apart, like the “Sterne Express”, triple slide and lady bug bouncer. I can’t wait to hear what you think when you visit!

Address: 5800 S Spotswood St, Littleton, CO 80120

Bathroom: Yes, there is a bathroom building behind the large pavilion, near the lake.

Shade: There is some shade over the equipment and very large trees around the perimeter.

Surface: Wood chips with some rubber surfacing near the toddler play structure.

Looking for another great playground nearby? Check out Littles Creek Park and it’s amazing nautical theme!

Age Recommendations: I think this park would be perfect for ages 2 to 8. There are some elements older kids would enjoy, but most of the equipment is geared toward the younger ages. Your kids will probably come home calling this the “train park” because of the cute tunnel “Sterne Express”.

Swings: 2 traditional, 2 baby and 1 accessible chair.

Water Features: None.

Don’t forget to take along some of our park favorites!

Unique Features

You will find some fantastic play equipment at Sterne Park in Littleton! There is a prism-shaped rope climber, sphere-shaped spinner and small bouncers. Among the two play structures (one made for younger ages), there are a variety of slides, climbing walls, monkey bars, all with a “clubhouse” feel.

You’ll also find a seated merry go round and a table that is built into the play structure.

Surrounding Area Highlights

A beautiful part to Sterne Park is the adjacent pond and 0.22 mile walking path! You’ll find tables, benches and cute sculptures along the way making it a great spot to enjoy the beauty of Colorado. Bring your fishing gear or horseshoe set and add some outdoor fun to your playground adventure!
