Top 13 Parks of 2020!

Are you ready for our top 3 for 2020?

#3 Red-tailed Hawk Park – Aurora

Red-tailed Hawk Park had been on our must visit list from the day it opened and I’m so glad we made it there this summer! It is a beautiful playground with fun colors, inclusive features and large splash pad. The playground can get quite busy so plan ahead to get there early (although, if you’re visiting during the summer, don’t miss the splash pad hours.) As an added bonus, there’s another playground just down the hill!

#2 Deputy Zach S Parrish III Park – Castle Rock

If you’re looking for the WOW factor, Deputy Zach S Parrish III Park is where you need to go! As you can see from the picture above, this playground is astonishing. Named in honor of a local fallen police officer, the park provides a place for all ages to play and enjoy being together. Intensely high obstacles provide a thrill (even I had to go give them a try!) and the memorial provides a beautiful tribute day and night.

#1 Aven’s Village Playground at Island Grove Park – Greeley

As you can tell from our list, we have found some amazing inclusive playgrounds across Colorado. Aven’s Village at Island Grove Park was our favorite and ends our list of top parks of 2020! It is actually a few years old, however, it was in great shape with its “Old West” theme and my niece, nephew and daughters all LOVED it! The play area is spread out with everything from ziplines to musical instruments to a barn shaped play house. There’s even a splash pad during the summer!

Thank you for another incredible year of Colorado park adventures from all of us at Slides and Sunshine!

Don’t forget to pin for later!

  • Great list! Thank you. You really need to see Paco Sanchez park in north west Denver. At least on par with, if not better than most parks on the list! My kiddos love it!
