4 Library Park

Address: 207 Peterson St, Fort Collins, CO 80524

With it’s literacy theme, Library Park is sure to become a favorite among any young reader. As you’ll see below, there are actual books to climb, letters to practice, a vowel scavenger hunt and so many ways to play with friends! There is rubber surfacing for easy mobility, roller bar slide to eliminate static electricity, and wheelchair-accessible merry go round. Keep the book-themed fun going and visit the Old Town Library too!

5 LuBird’s Light Playground

Address: 2501 Dallas St, Aurora, CO 80010 (The playground is located on the west side of Stanley Marketplace. If inside, go outside the doors next to Sweet Cow/Comida and walk a short distance to the playground.)

“There are over 74,000 kids with disabilities in Colorado and most playgrounds do not give these children an opportunity to experience the fun and joy of being outdoors with their peers.” according to LuBird’s Light Foundation. That is why they took action and raised money to create LuBird’s Light Playground, one of the few inclusive playgrounds in the Denver/Aurora area! This playground is one of very few that is fenced in and it also boasts a wheelchair-accessible clubhouse, long roller bar slide, and, even a wheelchair-friendly trampoline!

6 Aven’s Village

Address: 1300 D St, Greeley, CO 80631

Aven’s Village at Island Grove Regional Park in Greeley is truly inclusive, in other words, designed for ALL. The rubber flooring and ramps allow easy access for wheelchairs, the chair zipline and swings give everyone a turn, and the overall feel of the park is happy and playful. Aven’s Village also joins our list of best themed playgrounds in Colorado. Its “Old West” theme shines through in every direction you turn and it is absolutely worth your time to go see it!

7 Clement Park

Address: 7306 W Bowles Ave, Littleton, CO 80123

Clement Park is a destination playground so plan to stay a while! With its musical theater theme, there are many accessibly instruments with easy accessibility. The “We Go Round” makes it easy for kids of all ages and abilities to play together and there are a variety of sensory-friendly play elements throughout the park. Also, you cannot beat the lake and mountain views from Clement Park, makes for the perfect, peaceful day together!

8 Red-tailed Hawk Park

Address: 23701 E Hinsdale Way, Aurora, CO 80016

In 2019, Colorado celebrated the opening of this 8,000 square foot inclusive playground in Aurora. Inspired by a local child, Red-tailed Hawk Park is “a purposeful playground with equipment, instruments and experiences every child can enjoy” (CBS Denver). You will immediately notice the fun colors, spread out equipment and unique elements, like the wheelchair only swing! *Bookmark this park for the summer with its amazing splash pad too!

9 Carmody Park

Address: 2200 S Kipling St, Lakewood, CO 80227

Carmody Park, Lakewood’s first universal playground, packs inclusive play into every corner, from the music pod and sensory activities to sand diggers and fossil finds. Kids of all abilities can explore imaginative features like lily pad steppers, the dynamic surfer, and merry go round, with ramps, mounds, and plenty of ground‑level fun woven throughout. An expression swing lets parents and babies face each other, adding to the welcoming space with something for everyone.

10 Panorama Park

Address: 4540 Fenton Rd, Colorado Springs, CO 80916

Panorama Park in Southeast Colorado Springs offers a vibrant mix of community‑focused, universally accessible features. The park includes a fully accessible playground, a bike park, youth skate elements, a climbing boulder, and a multi‑use sports field.
