3 Reasons This is Our Favorite Park in Commerce City!

This park has been on our list to visit for about a year and I am so glad we can now share it with you. Turnberry Park was full of vibrant colors, created with all things flower garden and was overall the best park in Commerce City! We have already been talking about which friends live nearby so that we can go back with them (on a cooler day though šŸ˜‰ ).

Address: 10725 Wheeling St, Commerce City, CO 80022

Bathroom/Shade: There is a single bathroom building with running water and hand dryer! Unfortunately, there is no shade on the playground so going before it gets too hot or on a cloudy day is highly recommended.

Age Recommendations: 3 to 10. There are two sections to the park making it easy for the younger children to know where to play. The toddler structure is decorated with bumblebees and ladybugs and has extras like musical keys and small slides. There is one baby swing and a seated merry go round, but not much else I’d recommend for under 3 years old.

3 Reasons We Loved It!

1 : The Scavenger Hunt

My youngest is four years old and her favorite part of the park was the ā€œGarden Huntā€! It is part of the toddler play structure, includes progress trackers and has them running up and down to find all of the bees, ladybugs and ants.

2 : All Things Flower Garden!

My oldest is eleven years old and she said that the colors and flowers made it the cutest park we’ve been to this summer. With the Garden theme, you see the flowers up high, adorable bugs throughout and her favorite place to play was the butterfly-shaped rope net to climb around.

3 : The Tunnel

Our eight year old’s favorite part of the park was the Caterpillar Tunnel. It was a hot day so she loved climbing through and hiding in the shade. With a garden themed park, you can’t leave out a caterpillar!

Near the park is a circular basketball court, large pavilion with 6 tables, and 2 BBQ grills. This would be the PERFECT location for a butterfly themed birthday party! Can’t you just see all the little wings racing through the park?! It makes me want to buy these party favors right now!

Also, good to know if you go during the summer or weekend, Turnberry Elementary school is within walking distance, giving you an additional place to play!

What do you think of the garden theme? Does it make you want to visit? Comment below! We’d love to hear from you!
