Two Must-See Playgrounds in Firestone!

In our search to find the best playgrounds in Firestone, we asked friends in the area, reviewed the town website and looked for pictures on Google. That research brought us to our first park, however, the second park was small world coincidence for sure!

If you have met us at a park, you probably found out about Slides & Sunshine from my oldest daughter. She could have a future in marketing! Anyway, after she shared what we do with a local grandmother at park #1, we found out that she was an expert on nearby parks! We had a short amount of time but she convinced us to make a quick stop at a park just blocks away…

We are absolutely grateful for that moment because we would’ve missed our favorite playground of the day!

#1 Hart Park

Address: 467 Jackson Ave, Firestone, CO 80520

Bathroom: There is a bathroom building (although it was locked) and drinking fountain.

Shade: Unfortunately, not much shade over the equipment so the open slides and various elements can get hot. If you’ll be staying for snacks or need a place to cool off, there are two shelters with two tables each.

  • Always remember to take a lot of water and sunscreen for these hot days!

Age Recommendations: Children ages 2 to 8 will enjoy this park the most! The younger ones will love the colors, playing at the storefront and small slides. Older ages will turn this into a giant obstacle course or fun-filled game of tag.

  • NOTE: There are NO swings at this park!

Unique Playground Features

The staggered triangle-shaped equipment is where all kids will head first. A challenge of balance and heights plus the fun colors – they will love these!

Additionally, there are many unique ways to climb up and come down throughout the play structure. A climbing wall and square shaped ladder (shown above) will take you to the top. And for a quick getaway, there’s nothing faster than a fireman pole!

Surrounding Area Highlights: Hart Park in Firestone has more than just a playground. It is home to a grass volleyball court, full basketball court, grass field area for soccer or frisbee and a baseball field. This is a great park to meet for a small family reunion!
